ABOUT DEPARTMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering started functioning in the year 2007, offering B.Tech. degree programme in Civil Engineering with a sanctioned intake of 40. Currently, the department has seven faculty members with P.G. specializations in different areas of Civil Engineering, such as Structural engineering, Construction planning & management, water resources engineering, Soil mechanics & foundation engineering & Environmental Engineering & Management. Department has a sanctioned research lab, which escalates the research in the department.

Welcome to the department of Civil Engineering at GEC Raipur. We started our journey in the year 2007. Over the last fifteen-year, we have grown our expatriates and competence in the core civil engineering curriculum and research.
We have a strong undergraduate program in civil engineering. We have now approved the research center also. The sanctioned student strength of B. Tech is 40. Our department offers a science-based engineering curriculum. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students and promote their problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. Department offers a large number of optional courses to provide a wide spectrum of options to the students to pursue their interests.
Our department has a distinguished record in both teaching and research. Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded. They have been conferred with many prestigious awards at national and international levels.
